It’s been such a difficult year with a long lockdown; live gigs have been few and far between, festivals postponed, and music in the UK left in such a precarious position.
For those new to Oxjam it’s a festival like no other. Normally held in venues across the country, it supports emerging talent and is run by volunteers, with all ticket sales going towards ending world poverty.
For these reasons Oxjam have decided to go virtual this year, and are absolutely delighted to share with you the majority of the (V)Oxjam line-up for Saturday 28th Nov.
They welcome a very special guest, Andy Bell (Ride, Oasis, Beady Eye, GLOK), fresh off the surprise of his stunning new album The View from Halfway Down – and what a debut record it is! Andy will be performing an exclusive set for Oxjam featuring Ride songs and material from this new solo record.
Hosted by Shaun Keaveny (BBC Radio 6 Music), (V)Oxjam will showcase a musical extravaganza that goes up and down the country and beyond – a dizzying array of the very best local grassroots talent. It not only promises to be a truly unique one-off event, but an opportunity to discover new acts that will leave you gasping for more.
(V)Oxjam will be raising money for the Oxfam Christmas fundraising appeal ‘Together Against Hunger’. Around the world, families hit hardest by the pandemic are facing crisis levels of hunger. Funds raised by (V)Oxjam can help communities to help each other and ensure families have access to emergency food supplies.
Get your £5.00 festival ticket now (including booking fee) and join the show from the comfort of your home whilst helping keep people safe during the pandemic.
Thank you so much for sticking with Oxjam through this difficult time, they look forward to seeing you on the 28th.
