I’ll be honest, I wasn’t sure I like Spatial when I first started listening to it. There was just something jarring about the smoothness of the trumpet and the roughness of the percussion. However, as I settled into it, I found the elements began to make more sense, especially when the piano, played by Jerome Beaulieu, joined in. As the track reaches its climax, the elements all meld and the listener is taken into the stratosphere.
I think its challenging nature is what really sold Spatial to me and it rewards a persistent listener. See for yourself by checking out its cosmic video below.
