LUMER are a post-punk four piece from Hull whose new track Another Day At the Zoo skewers modern society.
By Graeme Smith
Starting with a steady, bluesy bass riff, Another Day At the Zoo builds with scuzzy guitar and yelled vocals. No corner of society is spared from the Prime Minister to the upper classes to telly addicts. It all accumulates into an explosive, noisy chorus.
Already lighting up music blogs and BBC Introducing, LUMER are a local act to keep an eye on. Check out the animated video for Another Day At the Zoo below. If you like what you hear, their debut EP Disappearing Act is out now so check it out.
