Soleá is the first original piece to be recorded by Cordelia, a Swiss artist who has also spent some time working with the Flamenco dance community in New York City, which helped to inspire this piece.
By Jane Howkins
It’s an instrumental piece of music that combines together classical music with elements of the flamenco movement – whilst the music is predominantly classical, some of the rhythms and percussion has a flamenco feel to it, which gives the track a very unique style. The majority of the music is performed on the violin, with an eerie violin melody coursing throughout the song – it has something of a haunting feel to it. Soleá won’t be for everyone, but we recommend our readers check the piece out, as it’s very different to anything else you will hear today!
