The latest series of our Going Underground podcast has been focussing on new EP and album releases. In the final instalment of the series I chat to Oliver Emmitt from the Dutch bedroom pop band Molino about their new album Lo and Behold.
By Graeme Smith
Though I refer to Molino as a bedroom pop band, their sound is more difficult to define than that. Oliver and I chatted about how it’s difficult to label their music, but how their latest album could be called bedroom pop simply because coronavirus restrictions led to it being mostly recorded in bedrooms.
Hear our chat below, along with a couple of the tracks from the album to give you a taste of what’s to come. Lo and Behold is set to be released on 30 April, digitally and on vinyl.
