From York, if you jump on a train and change at Sheffield, you’ll be in the The Peak District in no time. This beautiful part of England is the inspiration for the new composition from German jazztronica duo The OhOhOhs who, outside of music, are keen climbers.

I first discovered the Frankfurt-based duo last month with their lively piece Sturm und Drang. Peak District also has a liveliness about it but its interspersed with slower, reflective moments. In that way it captures but the thrill of nature and the fear that comes from what we’re doing to it. The pair had planned a visit last year to do some climbing but sadly the pandemic prevented it. Instead, they daydreamed and composed this piece.
