Goldford is an American singer songwriter who touches on something universal in his new video Dreams of Summertime.
By Graeme Smith
Dreams of Summertime has an easy way about it. It has breezy guitar strumming and Goldford’s gruff but soulful vocals are an easy listen. There is a hidden depth to the track though, drawing of themes of pain and regret that are brought to life in a memorable chorus.
The emotive message is amplified by the video, which tells the story of growing up and losing your innocence. Watch to the end so you don’t miss they story’s final, hopeful note.
The song is the title track from Goldford’s new EP. Though his name is new to me, he’s worked with some high profile collaborators including Aloe Blacc and Kygo.
