Khartoum are a British indie rock band with something of a noughties indie vibe to their music – Vultures is their latest single release.

The guitar melodies in Vultures are fantastic – I particularly enjoyed the little melodies that snake their way through the chorus, which also has quite an anthemic sound to it. It’s great to hear a band of this genre producing music with songwriting skills like these, as the indie rock movement of the noughties eventually became known as landfill indie due to the slew of untalented bands that emerged from the genre at the time. I’m happy to announce that Khartoum are not like these acts at all – check the video for Vultures out below and see if you agree!
