Apartment 54 is the new track and video from American singer songwriter Tierney Tough and it paints domestic bliss in a whole new (disco) light.

It was the lyrics of Apartment 54 that caught my attention. So full of poetry, imagery and intelligent observation, it painted a picture in my mind even without the video. Its story is delivered with a sense of resignation from Tierney over a waltzing piano-led melody. The video see her turn her home into a disco and brilliantly uses props to tell its own story.

You might already know Tierney as the frontwoman of The Pauses. This is her first solo release and it’s taken from her debut EP A Farce To Reckon With which has been released today.
