Field 17 is the richly atmospheric new track from British neoclassical composer Jonathan Roberts.

Feeling as if it is set somewhere in the near future, Field 17 is a darkly ambient piece. The composition swells and recedes likes the tide in a lowkey opening before the main piano melody washes up like driftwood. Gentle percussion provides texture before the track enters its third act which introduces strings and synths.

Originally from the Peak District and now based in the North West, Jonathan has collaborated with the Liverpool-based Kobi Pham (a member of the band Wide Eyed Boy) for his latest project. Field 17 will feature on Jonathan’s upcoming EP Mountains.
