Kickboy are an alternative rock band from Bristol who take their cues from fellow Bristolians IDLES. Their debut track and video is called Portland From Streetview.

Lolloping along, Portland From Streetview is a storytelling effort. Lyrically, things are a little cryptic, and it’s all the better for it. All I know is that I want to find myself in the world that Kickboy inhabit. It sounds a blast.

Along with the obvious IDLES comparisons, Kickboy also formed their sound from a mix of garage rock, new wave and post punk. It’s a intoxicating cocktail. Portland From Streetview is a really exciting debut. I can’t wait to see where they take their sound next.
