Vix 20 are an indie rock four-piece from Norfolk with a penchant for surreal song writing. Their latest, a tale of seaside seduction, is called Octopus.
By Graeme Smith
Starting in a slightly cheesy pop style, Octopus comes to life during its first chorus when its full rock arrangement comes in. The vocals, full of character, are a lot of fun and the story behind the lyrics are something to behold.
Formed by two music industry veterans, Vix 20 have already made their presence felt in the world. They’ve topped indie charts across the globe, been featured as single of the week on BBC Introducing, and even helped with the soundtrack to video game phenomenon Minecraft. Octopus, though, is my introduction to the band and I love it. I hope you do too.
