Finter, real name Guy Alexander Daws, is an alternative pop artist based in Salzburg, Austria whose unique new track Lidocaine caught my attention.
By Graeme Smith
In Lidocaine, Guy creates a lush soundscape from acoustic guitar, brass, synths and vocals. For all its uniqueness, though, it has the catchiness of a modern pop song too and I think it will find a lot of love from a range of different audiences. It’s certainly getting a lot of love from me.
Though now based in Austria, Guy hails from a little closer to home – remote North Yorkshire. A man of the world, he’s also a recipient of Best Student Film at the Olympus Film Festival in Los Angeles and has received nominations in the Royal Television Society Awards.
