Lia Pappas-Kemps is a Canadian bedroom pop artist that first caught my attention back in May through her track Sad In Toronto. At the time, I was impressed with her authentic style of storytelling and her new track Jinx continues where Sad In Toronto left off.

Lea describes Jinx as a coming-of-age story that really isn’t that coming-of-age. Taking on the concept of stereotypical teenage activity, she undermines them with her own lived experience. Her story comes to life through storytelling lyrics and Lia’s unique, charismatic vocals. A big pop-rock arrangement seals the deal.

Inspired by the likes of Joni Mitchell and Taylor Swift, Lia continues to show she’s a songwriter with a strong voice in Jinx. You can check it out below.
