MMIV, real name Max Rawdon, is an indie pop singer songwriter based in London. Band-less and gig-less during the pandemic, Max turned to solo writing. His new single The Drugs Are Running Out is the result.

As you might guess from the title, The Drugs Are Running Out is a bit of a sad song. Drawing on themes of nostalgia, apathy and mental health struggles, its mood is mostly melancholy. Yet, cutting through it is a feeling of hope and euphoria, particularly as things build to its earworm chorus.
Originally hailing from Essex and now based in London, Max is a young singer songwriter telling Gen Z stories with nods to Gen X influences. I find his music wonderfully emotive and well-produced. I hope you’ll agree. You can check out The Drugs Are Running Out below.
