Video: Mia Mormino – Pour Another

Mia Mormino is a Los Angeles, USA-based electronic pop singer songwriter who exploded onto my radar last year through her “seven deadly sin-gles.” I’ve previously shared her tracks Rapunzel (which represents envy), Stick-up (which represents greed) and Building Blocks (which represents sloth). Her latest is Pour Another, representing gluttony.

In the video for Pour Another, Mia takes on the role of a put upon office worker who has had enough. Finally flipping, she goes on a binge-drinking adventure while an angel and devil version of herself fight for her soul.

Musically, it’s the catchy electronic pop I’ve now come to expect from Mia, with well-observed and memorable lyrics. I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again. She’s quite an extraordinary song writer.
