Colton Bryan was a British experimental jazz musician who unfortunately passed before I heard him for the first time. One can only imagine where his talent would have taken him, as evidenced by his track Fondlei.

Fondlei is a deep, meditative piece with a steady percussive groove over which Colton plays sax. His expressive style draws you in straight away and the track’s meandering melody keeps you hooked, waiting to see where the instrumental story will take you next.

For Colton, music was a calling and he was particularly drawn to the saxophone as a instrument. He plays it so beautifully in Fondlei, it’s easy to see why. You can listen to the track below.
