Discovery: Olivia Morreale

Olivia Morreale is a Los Angeles, USA-based indie pop singer songwriter whose new love song Wasting Daylight caught my attention.

Wasting Daylight opens with a gentle acoustic guitar riff and Olivia’s vulnerable and compelling vocals. The whole track has a classic, soulful feel about it, drawing on influences from legends such as Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole and Ella Fitzgerald. Though on the surface it’s a love song, the lyrics dig deeper, and consider what the right balance is between relationships and personal goals.

The track is taken from Olivia’s forthcoming second EP Spring Cleaning. You can check out Wasting Daylight below.
