Simulated Youth is a Detroit, USA-based witch house producer who first caught my attention through his cyberpunk track Ghost In The Machine. His latest track and video has a decidedly more Gothic twist. It’s called Little Evil Doll.
By Graeme Smith
The idea of a living doll is a trope often seen in the horror genre, but Simulated Youth takes a different approach in this track. Rather, he explores the idea of moral relativism, pondering if perhaps we’re not the ones to judge the doll’s character. The story is brought to life through humour, stop-motion animation and severe instrumentals.
Simulated Youth continues to impress me with his fresh take on music and his approach to the difficult to master witch house genre. You can check out the video for Little Evil Doll below.
