Whobodyhow are an alternative rock three-piece fronted by Milo Finn based just down the road in Leeds. Their latest track explores his mental and physical journey to releasing music. It’s called Vigilant When Sober.
By Graeme Smith
It’s a track that starts deceptively calmly, with plodding bass, echoing guitar and soft and vulnerable vocals. As the track progresses though, the tension builds. Scuzzy riffs float in and the vocals get more raw. Its a really effective way of reflecting the deep emotion on the poetic lyrics. It really is impressive stuff.
Alongside Milo in the band are bassist Layla Narramore and drummer Fin Randle. The three bring a range of influences including psych rock, ska and even a bit of jazz. They’re definitely ones to look out for on the local scene.
