Joe Traxler is a Vienna, Austria-based indie pop artist I’ve featured a couple of times on the blog now. His intelligent, soulful approach to pop never fails to warm me. His latest song and video is a team up with fellow Vienna-based singer songwriter Lukas Oscar. It’s called Braindead.

Braindead is a track that combines funkiness with intimacy. Joe’s vocals are delicate and charismatic, teamed will with the bassier notes that Lukas provides. The pour like honey over a looping guitar riff that just won’t quit. It all comes to a head during a soaring chorus.
The track is taken from Joe’s forthcoming debut LP Lifelines which is set for release on 13 May. You can check out its surreal video below.
