Regular readers will know just how much I admire Luxembourg-based bedroom pop artist C’est Karma’s music. Since she burst onto my radar with her stunning track Girls, I’ve been keeping a close eye on her career. Now she’s back with a new song and video. It’s called Coffee.

Coffee has all the elements of C’est Karma’s music that I love. Poetic and melancholic lyrics, unique vocals and a sense of unease and difference that makes her stand out from her contemporaries. Yet, the track takes her music in something of a more stripped-back direction, starting with a simple piano melody. As the track progresses, electronic texture comes in, building to something truly epic.
The centrepiece of her forthcoming EP Amuse Bouche, set for release on 13 May, you can check out the video for Coffee below.
