New Zealand-born, USA-based pop singer songwriter Estella Dawn has made quite a home for herself on this blog. We’ve been following her music since Jane discovered her for us back in the summer of 2020. Her latest takes on the subject of love at first sight. It’s called Orange.

The track opens with an easy groove featuring organ, bass and percussion. Estella wastes no time setting the scene of her story and the narrative never lets up. It’s a beautifully-written story, brought to life through imagery and simile. The live band gives the track a true sense of the intimate and immediate. Careful, Estella will have your heart with this one.
