American country singer songwriter is back once again on the blog with another new video. This one is particularly special and speaks of innocence lost. It’s called The Veil.

In the video, Edie’s real-life daughter is cast to play a young Edie. Shots of her driving a truck as a child are interspersed with Edie doing so as an adult. It creates a powerful image to illustrate the story of the track, exploring the lightness of childhood juxtaposed against the darkness of adulthood. As ever, Edie brings her world to life through her song writing, emotive vocals and comforting country folk instrumentals.
