New Music: Kowloon – Today

Kowloon is one of those artists who I can’t get enough of. The American singer songwriter has already appeared on the blog half a dozen times, each time bringing his own brand of chilled, soulful rock. His latest is no exception. It’s called Today.

By Graeme Smith

Today is something of a throwback, adopting the dreamy psychedelia of ’60s California pop and rock. It’s driven by a steady guitar rhythm, dispersed with gentle interludes into which you can easily get lost. The star as always is Kowloon’s soft and expressive vocals.

Kowloon is based in Los Angeles and takes inspiration from the likes of the Talking Heads, Peter Gabriel, and Sly Stone. I really can’t say enough good things about his music. If you haven’t listened to any of our previous shares, make sure you do. You can check out Today below.
