Melanie Maclaren is an American acoustic folk singer songwriter who has caught my attention through her beautifully wistful new track, Summer in Sweden.

Summer in Sweden grabbed me straight away through its wonderfully playful and storytelling lyrics. Melanie brings beautiful poetry to her music, and the track’s tale unfolds against a gentle and atmospheric instrumental backdrop.

Melanie has been compared to the likes of Hozier, Lord Huron and Phoebe Bridgers and fans of any of those artists will find a lot to love in Melanie’s music. She’s already been picked up by Spotify’s Fresh Folk Finds and Amazon’s Breakthrough Folk. Don’t sleep on her!
