You recently released a single titled Trophies, which we reviewed. What can you tell us about the song and where can it be purchased?
It can be purchased on all DSPs and it’s a sports anthem for any team to share their underdog journey.
Has the pandemic hindered your work much?
I haven’t been able to perform as much as I want to but I’ve been able to create a lot more music.
Do you have any plans to release an album or EP in the near future?
I have an album I’m wrapping up – I hope to drop it in the winter of 2022
You’ve been working in the music industry for over 15 years. What are your thoughts on the ways in which it has changed over the years?
Things grow and change, that’s the nature of the industry. I actually enjoy learning and adapting as these changes happen.
What is the writing and recording process like for you? Has it changed much since your first started out?
I usually produce first and than I’ll start with the chorus and then I’ll do the verses after that. I’ve learned to not second guess as much now.
Do you plan to release any more singles anytime soon?
I have some more singles dropping in the fall, just to keep music flowing before the album drops.
You’re based in Michigan. What is the local music scene like?
The local scene in Lansing is kind of fragmented, but we have a lot of homegrown talent.
Your music has a hip-hop sound. What/who influences you most as an artist? What have you been listening to recently?
Kanye, Kirk Franklin, and Mos, definitely. Lately I’ve been listening to a lot of Brent Faiyaz , and old Kanye.
Do you have any plans to tour in the UK?
I don’t have any plans in the works but I would love to.
