The Hilder are a Bridlington-based four piece who first hit our radar last summer when Jane included their track Lost On You in her indie rock round up. Now their back with a new piece of summer-y indie pop. It’s called A.M.C.
By Graeme Smith
At two and a half minutes, A.M.C wastes no time – an explosive intro launches straight into its first verse with frontman Matty Jackman’s emotive vocals setting the scene. The track eases effortlessly into a soaring, anthemic chorus, while guitarist Sam Parsons, bassist Danny Jackman, and drummer Regan Grimson keep the musical energy high. The track is named for Andy’s Man Club, an organisation that helps men with their mental health, and it’s definitely one that could pick you up when you’re feeling down.
I love keeping my eye on under the radar bands, even more so when they’re from just down the road. You should definitely be keeping and eye on The Hilder too. They’ve got everything they need to make it big on the British indie rock scene.
