Based in Leeds, Jake Whiskin is an indie folk singer songwriter who has featured on our blog a few times already. Now he’s back with a new track and video, a collaboration with fellow songwriter Lizzie Reid. It’s called Drive You Home.

Drive You Home has the kind of stripped-back intimacy that will break your heart. Jake accompanies himself with acoustic guitar while telling his story of the end of a relationship. Lizzie joins in during the second verse and her voice is instantly arresting. The two are something of a dream team.

Jake his just announced his self-titled debut album, a work created with the help of Easy Life and Holly Humberstone producer Lee Smith and Yard Act and Crake producer Rob Slater. The album is set for release 4 November and you can watch the performance video for Drive You Home below.
