DeEtta Jain is a Denver, USA-based indie pop artist who has just come to our attention thanks to her unconventional new track. Mixing nostalgic lyrics with forward-looking instrumentals. It’s called Leaning.

Leaning opens with minimal percussion and funky electronic bass. Soft vocals swim alongside ethereal layers of brass and synths creating something hypnotic and utterly unique. What really held my attention though was the poetic, storytelling lyrics which engage the heart as much as they do the mind.

As well as putting out her own music, DeEtta is an advocate for the Denver music scene, putting on her own shows and bigging up its eclectic mix of talented artists. I’m really pleased to have discovered her and am looking forward to hearing more of her music. I hope you’ll feel the same. You can check out Leaning below.
