Imaginary Friends are an American dream pop duo consisting of Alyjah Adams and Chris Link. They’ve just released their debut single and it’s a doozy. Rich with emotion and storytelling, it’s called Gone.

There’s such a wonderful sense of authenticity in Gone that it grabbed me straight away. Alyjah’s vocals are stunning and compelling as she tells the story of loss and pain in heart-breaking detail. The story is delivered against a melancholic and dramatic pop rock arrangement that’s breath-taking. What a debut!

I’ll certainly be keeping an eye on Alyjah and Chris’s future releases. On the evidence of this debut we could be in for something really special. I hope you’ll agree. You can check out Gone below.
