Discovery: Foe

Hailing from Tel Aviv, Israel, Foe is a bedroom synthpop producer who has chosen to follow his dream of making music. His latest single is a team up with fellow artist DMZL and it’s called Why We Can’t Have Nice Things.

Why We Can’t Have Nice Things is a wonderfully unique piece of music. It channels classic electro pop influences such as Depeche Mode and MGMT and combines them with modern song-writing sensibilities. The frustration of the lyrics is wonderfully emoted by DMZL’s charismatic vocals. This tracks it the full package with it comes to alternative pop.

In the past few years, Foe has ended a long term relationship and left a couple of jobs due to illness. Yet the silver-lining of those dark clouds is his determination to pursue music. We’re all richer for it.
