New Music: The Silver Lines – Hotel Room

The Silver Lines are a Birmingham-based indie rock band who have featured on our blog once before, though it was a few years ago. Back in 2018, Jane shared the video for their track Roamer. Since then the band have been busy, with their efforts culminating in their debut EP SLEAZE released earlier this year. Now they’re back with a new single. It’s called Hotel Room.

Hotel Room opens with a sense of urgency. Driving bass meets echoing guitar and lively percussion. An instrumental intro crescendos into the first verse, delivered through confident and charismatic vocals. For the band, the song is a moment of catharsis and you get it through its embittered lyrics and f*ck it attitude. Fans of Sam Fender or Fontaines D.C. will appreciate it.

The Silver Lines have garnered attention from BBC Radio, Radio X and have been featuring on the festival circuit. It’s easy to see why with tunes like Hotel Room. You can give it a listen below.
