Stasi is a Los Angeles, USA-based singer songwriter who was inspired to write her latest song after a chance encounter on the street. It’s called Hey Lady.

During the encounter, a woman asked if she could pray for Stasi. She agreed, and in that moment, the prayer gave her strength. Yet, when the woman had gone, Stasi found herself wondering where to get her strength from next. She brings the emotion of the moment to life through melancholic vocals and a delicate folk arrangement.

Stasi draws inspiration from powerful songwriters like Tracey Chapman, Brandi Carlili and Labi Siffre, as well as classic blues and soul music, alongside contemporary R&B and country. Hey Lady is such a wonderfully poignant introduction to her sound. You can give it a listen below.
