Una Rose is the solo project of Rosie from Montreal, Canada-based shoegaze duo Bodywash. For her new single Resolutions, she puts the nosier elements of the genre aside for something a little more delicate.

It’s that delicateness that gives Rosie’s lyrics a chance to take centre stage and that’s what drew me to Resolutions. The track tells a heart-breaking story of a visit from her dad just before coronavirus lockdown, channelling the feelings of missing him when they couldn’t being together. Yet, she also captures her dad’s sense of optimism in it, and as the track progresses the instrumentals become brighter and more complex.

Resolutions is a stunningly beautiful track and serves as an awesome introduction to Una Rose for us. The track is taken from Rosie’s forthcoming EP Myth Between. I can’t wait to hear it! You can check out the single below for yourself.
