Rilles is a Brooklyn, USA-based singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who has just released their debut single. One for fans of downtempo, dream pop and lo-fi, it’s called Anchor.

Anchor is such an instantly captivating piece. It starts minimal, with distorted notes and simple percussion. As it progresses, the complexity grows, with more percussive layers, bass and relaxing keys. The vocals are a soothing balm, delivering poetic and image-laden lyrics. Listen with headphones on, eyes closed and an open mind.
Though this is their debut, there’s already a polished and accomplished feel to Rilles’ music. Their album Satellite Bird is set for release 18 November via Moon Loft Records. I can’t wait to hear it!
