Anni, real name Annika Grace, is an American acoustic singer songwriter who has just hit my radar. When I first heard her new track Guest List, it struck me so powerfully, I knew I had to share it.

Some songwriters can bring a moment to life through their voice and lyrics alone, and that’s what Anni does with Guest List. A powerful meditation on the contrasting worlds of life and death, the story of her mother’s untimely passing unfolds in heart-breaking detail in Guest List, all playing out against a contemplative piano melody courtesy of pianist and producer Kevin Hutch.

Though new to us, you might recognise some of Anni’s music if you’re a fan of American TV programmes. Her music has featured in Real World Atlanta, American Ninja Warrior and 12 Dates of Christmas in the past.
