Half Asleep is a stripped-down indie folk song, featuring a strummed acoustic guitar melody as the main piece of instrumentation here. Little piano melodies and electric guitar motifs are added over time, creating a nice backbone for the music. Jake’s vocals are soft and emotive, following the piano and guitars in an amazing way.
