New Music: Fran Lusty – You Play Me Like A Song

We’ve been following the music of London-based indie folk artist Fran Lusty for almost a year now and she never fails to disappoint with each new release. Her latest is You Play Me Like A Song, a dedication to the act of falling in love, and the anxieties that come with it.

For the track, Fran was inspired by the tendency we all have to fall in love with a particular song, then play it on repeat until we grow tired of it. Fran worries that falling in love with a person can be the same. The emotion feels authentic in You Play Me Like A Song, playing out through a gentle acoustic guitar-led arrangement and Fran’s captivating vocals.

Fran is currently working on her debut album, taking inspiration from Damien Rice and Virginia Woolf. I, for one, can’t wait to hear it!
