Angela Sclafani is a New York, USA-based artist who has just caught my attention. Her style is usually best described as Americana but her latest single is something of a departure, being pure pop. It’s called Inside Out.
By Graeme Smith
Musically, Angela takes her cues from the likes of Regina Spektor, Norah Jones and the legendary Stevie Nicks, and it’s perhaps the latter whose influence comes through most strongly in Inside Out. There’s a classic feel to its instrumentals while Angela’s vocals are wonderfully expressive and emotive. The lyrics hit hard but running through it all is a steady groove that will get you moving.
Inside Out is the second single from Angela’s upcoming debut album Songs Of Other Selves. You can give the single, released via Pitch & Prose, a listen below.
