Earlier this week I shared the Jasno remix of Maya Yenn’s track How Much Sadness Can You Swallow? Now it’s Maya’s turn to take the role of remixer. She’s taken on London-based Jimmy Harvey’s alternative pop track Call Me Back (When You’re Sober).

Jimmy and Maya make something of a dream team in this remix. The original track, a cynical meditation on unhealed past relationships and boundaries, feels truly relatable, especially when told through Jimmy’s charismatic vocals. Maya ramps up the pop with her remix, taking things almost to hyperpop territory. The emotion of the song’s story and the brightness of the instrumentals make a heady mix.

Jimmy and Maya met at university and bonded over a shared love for theatrics. That comes through strongly in this remix of Call Me Back (When You’re Sober). You can give it a listen below.
