German electro pop artist BOWIE first hit my radar last month through her ode to self love XO and I knew that I had discovered a very special artist. That’s why I’m so pleased to have the honour of premiering her new video Milk Me. Watch it for the first time anywhere right here on York Calling.

Milk Me is a rebuff to the superficiality and consumerism that has plagued the modern world. All too often human beings are seen as commodities to be parted with their money, their personal information, or their attention. All the while we crave more but are never satisfied.

BOWIE dives unflinchingly into this seedy underbelly, revealing it through her own unique brand of rich, layered electronic pop. The track is a feast for the ears while the interpretative dance performance in the video is a feast for the eyes.
