New York singer songwriter Faerie has been on our radar since May last year and recently made a return last month through her highly-acclaimed track k-town. Now she’s back with another, this time exploring the recovery from a misogynistic relationship. It’s called showgirl.

Production comes from LA producer Matty Bedrosian and there is a keen sense of atmosphere in showgirl. The emotional impact is both immediate and lingering and there is a timelessness to it all. As ever, Faerie’s vocals are the star of the show, charismatic and heartbreaking.
