Tyler Elden is a New Jersey, USA-based rock artist who we’ve featured before on the blog. In October this year, I discovered his music through his track Fallen Idol. Now he’s back with an introspective follow up. It’s called Trial By Fire.

Trail by Fire opens slow and contemplative. A gentle rock arrangement feels dreamy, but the track’s lyrics are somewhat more nightmarish. They meditate on a world headed towards a dystopian future, and acknowledges there are no easy answers to avoiding it.

Tyler is currently in the process of releasing a single every month to celebrate his music that didn’t end up on an EP or LP. Even across the two singles we’ve covered so far of his, there’s quite a range of styles on display. Tyler is a true talent.
