Hana Lili is a Welsh singer songwriter who has just caught my attention thanks to her latest single. Written in the depths of lockdown it bristles with introspective contemplation. The track is called Solitude.
By Graeme Smith
Solitude is such a deeply emotive track. Musically, it’s rock, but at the stripped-back end of the spectrum. Haunting, Radiohead-esque sensibilities merge with a catchy pop melody to create something that feels wonderfully unique, and the star of the show is Hana’s voice, which is utterly captivating.
Hana grew up in a small town on the Welsh coast. Though still early in her career, she’s already caught the attention of BBC Radio 1, who featured her on their Future Pop segment. She certainly is one to watch. You can give Solitude a listen below.
