Cynthia Hamar is an alternative country artist from Alberta, Canada who I’ve featured once before on the blog. Back in September, I was captivated by her fresh approach to an often staid genre in her track Light A Fire. Now she’s back with a new track and video that’s equally inventive. It’s called Where Your Love Lives.

Both the track and video for Where Your Love Lives are rich with a sense of nostalgia. Opening with home video footage and a gentle and atmospheric piano melody, the scene is perfectly set for a song that mixes traditional elements with a modern approach.
Cynthia was inspired to write the song after seeing old photos of her now grown up children but there’s a more universal message to Where Your Love Lives to which we can all relate. You can give the video a watch below.
