Maya Yenn is an artist we can’t get enough of on this blog. Both Jane and I have shared her music on several occasions now, with the London-based artist most recently featuring on Jane’s Pride rundown of LGBTQ+ artists. Better Luck Next Time is a track I’ve actually shared before, but now it comes complete with a video.

Much like Maya’s previous video we shared, How Much Sadness Can You Swallow?, the video for Better Luck Next Time is self-directed. Featuring theatrical leanings, whimsy and a film noir aesthetic, it’s eye-catching from the off. Come for the choreography, stay for the lyrical take down of late stage capitalism, which tells the story of an overworked business man’s last thoughts as his plane crashes.
