London-based Serena Kaos first hit my radar in the autumn with her track Live Again and I’m pleased to say she’s back to round off the year. Her latest is called Everyone You Know Is Sad.

Everyone You Know Is Sad opens in a wonderfully moody percussive trip-hop style. Serena’s vocals are sultry, powerful but understated. I was utterly mesmerised halfway through the first verse and that was its intention. The track is designed to be hypnotic, and to connect with the listeners instinct to dance.

I’m so glad to have Serena back on the blog and I can’t wait to hear what she does next. Having only released her debut this year, her career is off to a flyer! You can listen to Everyone You Know Is Sad below.
