Monster Florence are a UK-based alternative hip hop outfit who has previously had the pleasure of working with legendary punk poet John Cooper Clarke. Their latest is a story of childhood and escapism. It’s called Spaceman.

Opening with a gentle, nostalgic piano melody and a steady rhythm, laidback vocals then come in. Rich with wordplay and imagery, Spaceman is thinkers’ hip hop without sacrificing relatability and groove. It’s such a fine track.

Monster Florence are the real deal, and that’s being recognised across the board from BBC Radio to Amazing Radio to GRM Daily. Spaceman will feature on the group’s upcoming new album Master System and you can give it a listen below.
