How was your 2022?
My 2022 was tough. I faced a lot of supernatural adversity, honestly!
You recently released a single titled DEMONS. What can you tell us about the track?
DEMONS was born from my own struggles and the perils I’ve endured and overcome in my life. This track was painful and difficult to create in a lot of ways, but in the end I believe it turned me into a more defined human/artist. Out of darkness comes light!
How has the reception to DEMONS been so far, and where can the song be purchased?
I’ve gotten phenomenal feedback! I am glad the song resonates with people in a different way that challenges them and makes them feel something! The mix and production by J.Dot on this song is flawless and I am so grateful he agreed to work on this song with me!
Do you plan to release any more singles in the coming months?
Absolutely! I have so much more music I’ve been cultivating. So when the time is right… yes more tunes!
Do you plan to release a full-length album or EP anytime soon?
I certainly have enough music! I’ve been dedicated to mind, body, and soul maintenance heavily, which is great for my writing.
Your music mixes together rap, hip-hop and trap. What/who influences you most as an artist? What have you been listening to recently?
I have always been inspired by the greats before my time. Right now I’ve been enjoying Chaka Khan and Elton John, who aew a few of my faves. Their lasting legacy, talent, presence and essence inspire me!
Where do you get your ideas from? What is the writing process like?
I get my ideas form everyday life and the experiences of life on a daily basis. It’s pretty organic but typically my emotions fuel the type of music I make. I write a lot down and take notes as I go because there is always words in my heart or a melody in my head. Writing even a word or idea is the first step in building upon any goal or idea and I believe the same holds true in song-writing.
Where are you based? What is the music scene like in your part of the world?
I’m from Philly! (Philadelphia) I would say there is such a diverse music and talent scene that really keep this city going! The music scene offers something for everyone. Please do not sleep on Philadelphia!
Do you have any tour dates lined up for the UK?
